Korean Willies

I went up to Seoul at the weekend to see the ever beautiful Ruth. When I got back on Sunday I had no water in my apartment, I guess the bloody pipes have froze. I've still got no water and from Saturday to Wednesday I didn't have a shower.

Wednesday morning I woke up smelling like a beast and thought I need to do something about this. So, I went to my first Jim Jil Bang.

Jim Jil Bang's are Korean spa's with a twist...everyone is naked.

I went to Hotel Homer's down at Gwanganli beach. Even in the reception blokes are walking around stark bollock naked.

Sorry Koreans but the stereotype is true. I saw guys whose pubes where longer than their Colonels. Yes I admit it I looked! I'm only human. And so are the Koreans. All of them have a good look at your waygook todger.

The place is class. They have three baths; a boiling one, a warm one and a freezing one. There are showers and special grooming cubicles.

There's also a sauna. I was sat in there sweating like Jill Dando trying to open the front door, and an old fella', maybe 60, 65, came in, stood with his back to me and started doing squats! In the bloody sauna! Come on mate!

Your first 10 minutes there are a bit daunting because you don't know where to go, or where to get naked, or when to get naked. But once you get ya kit off and get over the looks it's quite cool. I can't wait to go again.

Sonic BOOOOOM!!

Last night I went with some of the Epik crew to see me first basketball game, Busan's own Sonic Boom vs Samsung Lions from Seoul. Seoul beat us like but it was good fun.

We got seats in the I Park stand (I Park is the local footy team), courtside for 10,000 won a pop. That's a little more than 5 quid and it meant we had an amazing view of the cheerleaders! Seriously, legs you could slide down!

I don't know Jack about basketball but you could tell the quality of play was crap compared to the NBA. Each team is allowed only one foreign player on the court at one time and for 40 minutes it's just pass to the waygook(foreigner).

I came this close to running on the court and showing them how we do it in Liverpool.

Busan EFM, the local English radio station were there and they interviewed us. "If you were a professional basketball player what would you do?" was there question. Matt's answer was the best, "I'd get to know the cheerleaders a bit better!" What would you do?

Unfortunately being the dozy plank that I am, I took my camera but I forgot to put me memory stick in it so I ain't got no photos. But, thanks to Mr Adrian Law, the national press managed to get a picture of me. Look to the left of Rode's ass. http://sports.media.daum.net/basketball/gallery/0119kbl/index.html#20110118204907440

I'm back

Big C said to me the other day "What happened to your blog?"

I said "Ya jokin aren't ya! No one reads that crap!"

Turns out at least 2 people read this nonsense so I thought I'd spark it up again for them, they obviously have nothing better to do.

So what have I been up to since November?

I've been trying to explain the difference between North Korea's royal family and UK's royal family to my Vice Principal.

Any difference?

Busan United won the league.

Completed a beginner course in Korean

Went to a Kimchi festival

Birthday parties

Santa Run in Seoul

Christmas presents

Fair ground

became the face of Busan United's pre season training

and finished winter camp

Tonight I'm off to see a basketball game and next week Philippines and Japan so for those 2 people who read this I'll try to update it a bit more.
